Michael Henry is a graduate of the University of Denver with a degree in Mass Communications and Fine Art. He has worked in multiple galleries including Merrill Chase Galleries in Denver and Gallery Revel, New York before opening his own mdh fine arts in New York. The gallery now works strictly online enabling Henry to work on his own pieces. He has continued his studies in drawing and painting at Art Students’ League of Denver, The Cooper Union, New York and New York Academy of Art. And maintained studio space at the Chelsea Ceramic Guild. "My landscapes are simple scenes; familiar places painted without any hidden messages. That simplicity is what I want the viewer to find in my work. My paintings are my attempt at creating a window to a place I would like to be, and hopefully the viewer feels the same way.” His interest in classical painting has brought new subjects to his work, as he recently has ventured into equine and other animal compositions.
